My first BodyBuster session started on April 20, 2015.

What I like most about the program is the positive approach taken by all the instructors. There is constant encouragement, and everyone is made to feel like a valued part of the class. Modifications to exercises are offered without anyone having to ask, which means people don’t feel singled out. I also like that each class feels different. Since I joined, I have never done the exact same workout.

I don’t weigh or measure myself, but I know that all my clothes fit comfortably again, and people comment on how I look fit.

I continue with Body Buster classes because they are fun. An hour goes by in what feels like a heartbeat, and I like that there are other people around. I would never work so hard by myself. Having been with Travis and Emily exclusively the last few months, I have built up a rapport with them, and they are terrific instructors. Overall, the instructors are very high quality.

My energy level, which is normally high, has gotten even higher. Doing all the class work, and seeing the results, has made me focus more on healthy eating, and doing other physical activities. I feel stronger, and I have even gotten to the point where I don’t totally hate running. This counts as a near-miracle. Improving on something like that makes me feel as though I can tackle anything.

Being a member of Body Buster has given me a sense of achievement. When I joined, I had quit the gym, because it was boring. I wanted to dynamite myself out of a fitness rut, and Body Buster turned out to be exactly what I needed. The upbeat attitude of all the instructors, along with the other members of my class, make working out joyful. As well, I am accountable to a group of people, and that helps me prioritize fitness when I’m arranging my schedule.

An active and healthy lifestyle makes me feel empowered, and it reduces illness.

Come out and try it. Some people are scared by the “boot camp” format, because they think it might involve yelling and intimidating instructors, but Body Buster is welcoming and fun.

Your health is just as important as any other thing in your life. Making yourself healthier and happier has positive effects on the lives of those around you. It’s vital that you take care of yourself in order to take care of others. You can’t draw water from an empty well.

I love Body Buster, and I can see why there are members who have been around for 6 years. I am always talking about how much I enjoy the classes, and while I may shift the schedule from time to time, I have never missed a classes completely (within a four week program).

I’ve been a Body Buster member for over five years.

I like that it gets me out and active and not bored of my exercise routine. I use it as the back bone of my fitness routine and try to add in other cardio and yoga work outs throughout the week. But even if I only manage to do my classes, I know I’ve had a full and well-rounded work out that week!

I’ve been focusing more on maintaining and improving my strength and stamina.
I like the flexibility of the program and the fact that the workouts are both fun and challenging. I always find the instructors enthusiastic and motivating and I’ve never been bored with a work out after all these years! I also like the fact that it gets me outside to exercise in the spring, summer and fall.

I know Body Buster Fitness has improved my cardio and core strength and it’s also forced me to focus on areas of my body that I typically ignore or shy away from (legs and back). So it’s pushed me outside of my comfort zone in a safe and monitored environment.

I like the camaraderie of the group work outs and having other members in the class pushes me to work harder and try to improve on my last work out. I especially appreciate how helpful the whole team has been in guiding me through two knee surgery rehabilitations and modifying the workouts to suit my limitations.
I’ve been active all my life and I know that when I stop moving and exercising, I deal less well with stress. I also know that if you don’t use it you lose it and I intend to be active throughout my life so I know I need to work to maintain my fitness level. I also know that when I am less active, my various body aches and pains bother me more, so continuing to move is my way of hopefully avoiding illness as I age.

Come on out and give it a try! It’s a great group of dedicated people who are just waiting to help you achieve your fitness goals. I like the fact that there’s something for everyone in each class and I think it’s a testament that so many of the members continue to return month after month!

I think that the most important thing to try to do is ask ‘when am I going to work out today/this week?’ instead of ‘am I going to work out’. I struggle sometimes with thinking that if I can’t work out for an hour or ½ an hour then it’s not worth it, but I think it’s better to hop on the bike for 10-20 minutes then do nothing at all. I also know that although I often don’t feel like working out, I always feel better after wards and that usually will help motivate me!

I just genuinely appreciate the flexibility and interest of the instructors. I find all of them so well versed and they really pay attention to details, personal injuries and individual fitness levels of every member of the class. They are professional and fun and I have been very impressed by their ability to come up with alternative exercises when someone in the group is unable to do one of the exercises. The workouts are efficient, challenging and fun!

I have been with Body Buster Fitness for a little over a year.

What I like the most about Body Buster is that the instructors keep you motivated and push you to challenge yourself which, in turn, makes personal success easy.

I seriously have not gotten on a scale since I was nine months pregnant. What I have noticed is that I am more toned and my clothing fits better (some are even loose!).

I am continuing with Body Buster because I don’t want the improvements that I have experienced to disappear. I want to keep pushing myself and setting new goals, and doing this in an environment that I feel comfortable in, I believe, will play a huge part in me achieving what I set out to accomplish.

My overall health has really improved. I feel more energetic throughout my day. I am stronger and my cardio is so much better than when I started. Perhaps the greatest improvement to my health that I see is in managing my stress. I always feel re-energized after a class and all the issues that I was worrying about on my way to class seem much less significant on my way home.

I have gained the confidence to know that my body is stronger than ever and that this is only the beginning. I have gained the understanding that it is not enough to just go through life and not make yourself a priority. Being healthy is not something that I am entitled to but something I have to work for. I have gained two hours a week that are just for me where I can take a complete break from all the different hats I wear in my life. The session that I participate in is fantastic, right from the instructors to the other members, so I have also gained a few laughs and the ability to meet some great people.

In order to be the best person that you can be you have to lead an active and healthy lifestyle because that will impact all the other areas of your life. You can manage stress better, you have more energy and are able to do more. I want to be a good role model for my children and I want to make sure that I do whatever I can to keep up with them for many years to come!
I would tell them that this is a great place to be if you want to experience fitness success. I would tell them that the beginning is hard but not to compare themselves to other people and to remember that they’ll start seeing improvements quickly and that feeling is worth all the effort.
I would tell them to make themselves a priority. Exercise not only provides physical well-being but mental well-being as well. When you are stronger both physically and mentally you can do so much more at work or with your family, I don’t know of any excuse that can trump that. There will definitely be days where exercise will be the last thing you want to do but just get to the program and the instructors will take care of the rest.

I’ve been a Body Buster Fitness member for just over 4 years. I signed up 5 years ago after having our 2nd child but after 2 weeks I found out I was pregnant with our 3rd! Seven weeks after she was born I rejoined and have been with the program ever since.

What I like most about the Body Buster Program is exercising outdoors in High Park. What I also love about the program is the variety. No two classes are ever the same. My favorite classes are the adventure runs through the park. The classes go by quickly, push you to the limits and are so much fun.

After being with the program for about 6 months, I lost all of my pregnancy weight (60 lbs.) and countless inches.

I have chosen to continue with Body Buster because of the variety. I never worked out on a continuous basis before joining Body Buster as I’ve always found exercise boring . I especially dislike working out in a gym because of the atmosphere. The Body Buster program makes you feel like you are part of a team. Over the 4 years I have had the opportunity to meet and workout with so many wonderful people whom I feel accountable to. I feel guilty when I miss classes and can’t wait to go back. The Body Buster instructors also keep me motivated, push me to work harder and make classes exciting. Most classes go by so fast that I can’t believe we’ve already been working out for an hour. I have also been able to continue with Body Buster because of the flexibility it offers me given my crazy schedule. As a Chartered Accountant in public practice, I work long hours between January and April and am able to move classes around during this overwhelming period.

The program has improved my overall health by helping me lose all of my pregnancy weight, continue to maintain my weight and provide me with more energy to keep up with my 3 young children. Although I wake up earlier on the days I attend class, I have more energy throughout the day than on the days I don’t attend class. The program has also motivated me to try to live a more active lifestyle and follow a healthy diet and by doing so I am better able to deal with stress. Whenever I stop attending class because I’m working long hours I am less able to cope with the stress from all the demands in my life.
The program has taught me how important it is to lead a balanced life which includes making time for myself by exercising on a regular basis.

I feel it’s important to lead an active and healthy lifestyle so that I can keep up with my children and be a good role model to them. One Sunday morning this past summer I decided to go for a jog in High Park and my 9 year old son asked if he could join me. It is one of my happiest memories from this past summer. Before joining the Body Buster Program I never would have jogged through the park and experienced exercising with my son.

For those of you who have never taken the Body Buster Program before, I would say try it because once you give it a try you won’t be able to stop. The program continues to challenge me even after 4 years and it’s the challenge that I crave.
My advice to everyone leading busy lives and having every excuse to NOT exercise is that I used to be one of those people until I joined Body Buster. I have a very demanding career, husband, 3 children aged 9, 6 and 4, who are involved in multiple extra-curricular activities and I have managed to find time for myself. By committing to a 6am class I have no excuse not to exercise. After 4 years of attending 6am classes 2-3 times a week, I still find it very difficult to wake up in the morning and still have to convince myself to go when I’m too tired to wake up. Once I’m up and after I’ve completed the class I feel a sense of accomplishment and am so happy I’ve decided to attend class. On the days I can’t go I regret it all day long and am less able to deal with life’s everyday stresses.
I would like to thank Huy, Dan and Emily for being wonderful instructors and helping me reach my goals.

I have been a Body Buster member for 13 months now and I still find every class a challenge. Up until I joined the Body Buster Program, my fitness journey had plateaued. The current program I was engaging in failed to provide me with the results I was looking for and I was eager to find a change. When I drove past a Body Buster class in action I figured I would give the program a try for a month and see if it was the change I was looking for. That was over a year ago now.

Personally, what I enjoy most about the Body Buster Program in comparison to other fitness classes is the way it pushes me to accomplish more than I thought was possible in my fitness journey. In particular, I have lost over 10 pounds since I have started the program and I feel stronger than I have in years.

Therefore, I will certainly be renewing the full year program at Body Buster as I truly can not imagine not having such an engaging and rewarding program in my life.

I would tell someone who has never take the Body Buster program before just to try it for a month and you’ll be hooked!

Lastly, I would like to personally thank my instructor for all of her support as I would not have gotten this far without her help.
